The Opportunity
A little about Kit
Kit is an earning-and-learning, mindfully-spending, money-mastering pocket money app for families in Australia. We’re a kid-first app with gamified learning and prepaid Kit card while giving parents peace of mind with parental controls. Our mission is to accelerate the financial capability of young people by providing the tools and knowledge to harness the power and potential of money. Kit is built by x15ventures, and wholly owned by CommBank.
Where do you fit in?
In this role you will apply your skills and experience to execute Kit’s financial and operational processes to ensure the business manages revenue, expenses and overall financial position in line with budget and forecast.
You will join our small operations team and work closely with our product, engineering, marketing finance and risk teams.
You will join a Community of Practice of finance and operations professionals across x15.
On any given day you will be:
Facilitating the set up of new suppliers on CBA systems through procurement, risk and finance teams
Processing supplier invoices for payment (accounts payable)
Processing and managing expenses
Owning the daily reconciliations of customer fee collection and exception handling
Monthly reporting on management accounts
Taking a lead role in financial modelling for annual business plan and re-forecasting as required
We are interested to hear from people who have
A few years’ experience in a finance / operations role with exposure to accounts payable and management accounting
Experience or an understanding of working with startups/ early stage ventures and/or financial services and products
Professional services experience ideal but not essential
Strong spreadsheet and presentation skills
Exposure to risk management frameworks would be ideal
Ideally CA or CPA qualified or currently in progress
Highly organized and diligent
Naturally curious and willing to learn and great at problem solving
Highly collaborative style and proven ability managing competing priorities
High attention to detail and strong data management and insights skills
