x15ventures is a venture-scaler, powered by CommBank. We’re not your typical VC fund - we have the mandate to build, acquire and invest-in early stage digital endeavours that can directly connect to the Group’s core business. We actively support experienced entrepreneurs, providing guidance and access to our customer base and distribution networks. Together, we’re building the next generation of solutions for 15 million CommBank customers, and pioneering new ways of working as we go.

Where could you fit in?

The Brand & Marketing function sits within x15ventures core platform team. We work closely with ventures and partners to consult, build and deploy go-to-market strategies to reach scale, leveraging CommBank channels where it makes sense.

This hands-on growth marketing role will report to the Growth Marketing Lead and will see you apply your in-depth digital marketing skills to develop and deploy experimental marketing initiatives for ventures, aimed at proving (or disproving!) hypotheses around their ideal target audience and customer value proposition.

The role is designed to provide intensive “bootstrapping” support to ventures as they build out their marketing strategy. We’re looking for someone who’s experienced in early-stage growth and can stretch across the full marketing mix.

In this role you will:

  • Use experimentation to prove or disprove hypotheses around ideal target audiences, paths to purchase, and customer value propositions
  • Contribute to the ongoing design and iteration of the ‘in-product’ customer experience, to drive growth and lift conversion
  • Conceptualise, design, and execute creative campaigns to deliver growth through the funnel – bootstrapping in Canva or coordinating content producers where required.
  • Work closely with ventures, embedding yourself in the team and feeding into their efforts as appropriate including product design, customer research, distribution or pricing design etc.
  • Demonstrate a relentless focus on learning by doing and iterating

We are interested in individuals with:

  • Tangible experience in growth or product marketing role/s within a start-up or venture environment.
  • Confidence when using an experiment-based approach to validating hypotheses and shaping growth strategies.
  • Deep digital channel expertise; you’re a gun at Facebook, LinkedIn and Google Ads with outstanding experience in the setup of ad goals, targets, and audiences.
  • Advanced analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to make data-informed decisions in any situation (your best friend is GA and you’ll show us A/B testing best practice).
  • Experience designing your own assets (Canva), supported by strong copywriting skills.
