We’re Home-in and we are on a mission to simplify the experience of buying property.

While buying property is exciting, it can also be time-consuming, complex and stressful. There’s conveyancing, building and pest inspections, making an offer, liaising with your lawyer, lender and real estate agent…. and that’s just the beginning! What if all of this could happen in one place and you could be guided through the required steps to purchase your home using an intuitive, easy-to-follow checklist?

The opportunity

Our marketing efforts to date have been achieved by a mixture of people “mucking-in”- like every good bootstrapping start up! It’s been a real team effort and we’re proud of what we’ve been able to achieve, but we’re now looking for a highly capable self-starter to own the marketing function for Home-in and take us to new heights.

Reporting to the Managing Director of Home-in you’ll refresh our brand, establish our social presence, optimise our acquisition funnel and web assets, invite and then amplify advocacy and reviews, and deepen engagement throughout our user experience.

As our first marketing hire, you’ll have a wide range of responsibilities within marketing and growth. We’ve listed some of the things you’ll be responsible for, but it will be your job to determine which of these we should prioritise and in what order.

Key responsibilities:

  • Research and refresh the Home-in brand – then roll this out across all our channels including building a new website
  • Establish our positioning and test and refine our value propositions for key customer segments
  • Work with product and UX to develop marketing content (brand/copy)
  • Build out Home-in’s digital path-to-purchase ecosystem including reviews on platforms like TrustPilot, Product Review, App stores, and our organic social presence.
  • Design our strategy for proactive digital acquisition.
  • Scale learnings and implement higher fidelity “always on” marketing campaigns.  
  • Maximise CommBank channel opportunities to better position Home-in with home loan customers
  • Establish our strategic communications and PR strategy and actively seek out opportunities to build Home-in’s brand in market

What you’ll need to be successful in this role:

  • Significant broad marketing experience across the full marketing funnel – brand awareness, acquisition, activation and engagement
  • A strong strategic mindset able to problem solve creatively
  • Some experience executing social, search and email campaigns
  • Exceptional written, visual and verbal communication skills
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, ideally with experience in the world of start ups
  • Strong project management, stakeholder management and organisation skills
  • Highly collaborative with a growth mindset
  • A relentless desire to prioritise the customer
