The Opportunity
Let's start by introducing ourselves
We’re Home-in and we are on a mission to simplify the experience of buying property.
While buying property is exciting, it can also be time-consuming, complex and stressful. There’s conveyancing, building and pest inspections, making an offer, liaising with your lawyer, lender and real estate agent… and that’s just the beginning! What if all of this could happen in one place and you could be guided through the required steps to purchase your home using an intuitive, easy-to-follow checklist?
Enter Home-in. We provide you with a central hub featuring everything you need to buy a property so that you can purchase with confidence. We are the first of our kind and we are proudly transforming the property purchase experience across Australia.
What’s more, Home-in is proudly part of x15ventures!
Home-in is a business operating within CBA’s x15ventures. x15ventures is a venture-scaler powered by CommBank. That means we build, buy, and invest in start-ups that could benefit the bank’s 15 million customers and beyond.
If you want to be a part of a fast-growing customer-driven venture that supports people through their home-buying journey, we want to hear from you!
Role Overview
As a Senior Product Manager, you will be the product leader for one of our two scrum teams. Our teams work full stack across the Home-in platform for consumers (Web, iOS, Android) as well as our conveyancing platform used by our operations team and partner law firms/conveyancers every day to deliver successful on-time property settlements for our customers.
You will work closely together with an engineering manager, a product designer and a full-stack product engineering team with ~8 engineers.
Key responsibilities
Plan and execute a thoughtful product roadmap by working closely with the Head of Product and cross-functionally with other business functions.
Take end-to-end responsibility for key projects and initiatives that will deliver on our annual goals for growth, profitability and customer experience.
Work closely with engineering, design, operations and risk to plan delivery activities across your scrum team; delivering our roadmap effectively, safely and on time.
Utilise your strong product management expertise to set up a clear operating rhythm to drive continuous optimisation of the conveyancing process.
Lead the diagnosis and prioritisation of incidents and day-to-day queries, ensuring we effectively manage operational efficiency and risk.
Collaborate with stakeholders across CommBank, x15, our law firm partners and internal Home-in teams to ensure new features and process improvements are successfully adopted and deliver results.
Actively monitor the latest conveyancing industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities to accelerate our growth and achieve our objectives.
Are you the perfect match?
You have 5-10 years of experience in Product Management, with a track record of delivering and managing successful digital products or services.
You have experience in digital-first businesses, especially where automation and optimisation of processes are core pillars in planning and delivery.
You can autonomously lead your team and manage multiple projects at the same time, whilst also actively seeking support and direction when you identify a major issue or risk.
You are customer-obsessed and take the lead to identify and articulate trade-off decisions that best optimise for customer value.
You will be curious and open to learning new things, and taking accountability for finding solutions to challenging, ambiguous problems.
You will be confident to contribute your views, effectively communicating with and influencing a range of stakeholders.
